On Sunday, May 10th the Commonwealth of Massachusetts relaxed the restrictions on cart use to accommodate golfers in MA who can’t walk long distances. The statement is as follows – “Motorized carts may be permitted for any individual with a disability who is seeking a reasonable accommodation to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A golfer who wants to use a cart should provide documentation or otherwise certify in WRITING to the golf course that he or she has a disability that requires use of a cart.” WGC will make accommodations for those members that fall into this category. There will be one person to a cart. Carts will be sanitized before and after the round is complete by STAFF at WGC. Each member must present certification to WGC staff (Mark,Frank, etc.) BEFORE cart use.
A reiteration of WGC rules – There is to be NO alcohol brought onto the premise at Whitinsville Golf Club not purchased at WGC. There should NOT be any congregating after rounds are completed in the parking lot or the WGC premises.
We are all excited to be back playing golf and seeing friends! The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling like it is July. But we need to adhere to all of the MA golfing guidelines for your own as well as other members protection.
Thank you
